Who’s Ethan Jones?

To simply put it, I am your average-joe college student. But in reality, there is so much more to me. Not only am I a full-time student, but I also spend my time doing so many other things. Here is a little snapshot into my life.

If there’s one thing you need to know about me, is that I will always find an excuse to spend time listening, playing, and talking about music. Whether its spending way too much money on concerts, listening to album releases at midnight, or even playing music, my life wouldn’t be as much fun without music.

Fun fact about me, I played the alto saxophone for eight years in my schools symphonic band. Before coming to college, it was really all I had time for. Practicing, playing, blaring, or marching, I was focused on my alto sax and the band 90% of the time. I may be a little bias, but I was one of the best players in the band (I was second to last chair). No matter what though, my time playing music, meeting people, and going on fun trips are part of the reason I love music so much today. Without it, I am not sure who I would be!

Travel

Now, if I am not over obsessing about the new release in music, I probably will be yapping about my time traveling around experience all different types of places. I am fortunate enough to come from a family that jumps head first into new experiences, and has given me a love for meeting new people and getting a taste of all the places we go to. Some of my instant favorites are Savannah Georgia, Toronto all the way up in Canada, and you can never go wrong with a little bit of Nashville. I am so lucky to have found a love for travelling, and hope that one day it can even become a large part of my future career.

Food, Health, and Everything Else

It may sound like music and travel are the most important things to me, but trust me, there is so much more than to me than all that. At the end of the day, I am a huge advocate for healthy mindsets, positive food goals, and of course, loving yourself I am no guru, lets be real, I am not even a Instagram yoga influencer, but I do know that at the end of the day, loving yourself and enjoying life is such an important thing to do.

Because of this, I have fallen in love with exercising, and mainly, having become a runner! I may sound so boring when I say this, but running is such an important aspect to my life. Not only is it a great form of exercising, but I also feel as though it acts as free therapy for me. No matter what, I will always pick a morning run over any other type of exercise. Loving yourself, feeling good about what you’re doing, and maybe even winning a race here and there are always a great way to feel good about your everyday life.

Now, I couldn’t talk about any of this without talking about my love for food. Mainly, I could talk about my love for coffee for hours! Whether its café hopping, at home trial runs, or even a quick Starbucks run, I will never say no to coffee. Along with that, spending time with friends and family in a café setting, and getting to even travel the world stopping at the most crazy cafes you could imagine, is such an amazing experience, and is a great way to spend time with loved ones. Mainly I always think of Ragga Surf Café near Palm Coast in Florida, a little café running completely out of a bus. If you ever get the chance, I highly suggest you go check it out, as it has become a staple stop in any Florida trip for my family and I.

Friends, Family, and Importantly, Partnership

Truthfully, I don’t know where I’d be with my loved ones. Not only do they inspire me every day, but they all provide me with a rock to lean on in the hardest of times, and are truly the greatest advice givers no matter what.

I grew up in a small town in the middle of nowhere called Clare, and because of that, growing up as a member of the LGBTQ+ community wasn’t exactly easy. Truthfully, because of this, my family and I only got closer. I never do anything without considering them first, and no future can ever exist where my relationships with them aren’t a top priority. My sister, my parents, and I are a tight knit group and they are a large reason I have become the person I am today.

Friendship is something you can never go without. In my situation, I have been fortunate that the best of friends live all around the world, and no matter if they’re living near me, or are living in a completely different country, I truly believe I have the best group of friends around. In my opinion, life can never be truly made without a strong, positive, friendship always providing support. To my friends and loved ones, who knows where I’d be without you.

Now, to the final part of my about me post, and truly the first post I will have made, I can’t not speak about my amazing partner. I don’t want to reveal too much, but my little bit of life coaching to anyone reading this is that one day, no matter who you are, you will find your other half. Look for someone that inspires you everyday, and will join you in a music obsessed lifestyle, going to concerts every other weekend. Truthfully, good luck to anyone’s bank accounts!

Onwards

So there you have it, a little bit about me. It may not have revealed much, but I hope it gives a little bit of insight to anyone reading this the type of person I am.
